“Sounds delish. And what about a salad for you gentlemen?” The waiter, Bobby, cocks his hip to one side and smiles, although you can tell he’s just bored out of his mind. He’s a cutie and given the situation, I could have him, but I made a promise to myself tonight, to make the best of it and give it a shot. No flirting, which is almost ashamed.

“Just a small garden salad with Thousand Island. I’m saving my appetite for the main meal. Get whatever you like Griffin, I’m treating.” Footing the bill for him is the least I can do, especially after mentioning work.

“The same please only with house dressing.” He looks at me and raises a shoulder.

“I asked you out, I’m buying.” Griff’s shoulders raise quickly, and he retorts, but it’s not happening, which he’ll find out shortly whether he likes it or not.

The waiter dismisses himself then returns quickly with drinks and appetizers on a round, black tray and prop stand. He hands us the menu’s announcing he’ll return shortly.

“Looks amazing, especially the oysters.” He downs one. “Well and you, but you weren’t on the menu.”

“I can have him marker me in somewhere as a specialty delight dessert.” I start laughing and he almost chokes on his drink. His face turns beet red and he’s making me a nervous wreck with his thumbs so I clasp his hands in mine.

“Can I order two of you?” Griff chuckles. God the way he cocks his head as he does that is adorable, so cute and shyful.

“Well, you kinky ‘thang’ you, feeling frisky, are we?” I ask.

“Maaaay-be. Would you like me to be?” Griffin asks with a wink, taking another sip of his mimosa.

“Hmmm…” I wink. “Might want to get that way with you. Care if I have one? Oh, and help yourself to anything of mine too.” God, he makes me start to tingle and throb.

“Anything huh?” I love how his mouth peaks at the corner when he grins and those dimples crease back.

“Damn… you’re a flirty little thing, aren’t you, Griffin?” He’s much bigger than me, so I get a kick out of calling him little. He is anything but little or small, he’s got to wear at least a fourteen in shoes, is over six feet, five inches and has humongous hands, among other things I imagine. Not that I’ll ever feel that, but the thought is kind of nice and enticing for a first time thought about him besides today.

“I’ve only been trying to get your attention for like a year now and have to go all ho mode to even get a rise out of you.” His ice chiseled jaw line stands out.

So not true, he gets a rise out of me every time he walks in the room. “You just want to play on my boss connection, huh” I tease and kick his foot from underneath the table, then rub the tip of my shoe up the side of his leg. “And for the record, you get a rise out of me every single time you walk on the job, it’s one of the highlights of my day for me and why I have no issue talking about work.” I raise my brow and grin.

“Clever, aren’t you?” Griffin glides his legs against mine curling his foot behind the back of my lower leg near the ankle.

“You gentlemen ready to order?” And saved again by the waiter, he’s getting an extra tip for his perfect timing tonight.

Griff is riling me up and making me act in ways and think things that normally void themselves from my mind, like enjoyment. I am truly having a total blast with him just through conversations and small gestures, I don’t ever allow that to happen. I’m wearing a hat that doesn’t fit me.

“Get anything you like Griffin, it’s on me. Bosses treat.” I open my menu. “I mean it.”

“I’d like one of everything on the menu and a five-foot, nine-inch package to go please.” He jokes with a smartass smirk on his face.

We both laugh. I’m shocked he knows my height. Giving me a wink, he slurps down his last oyster.

  “More?” The waiter asks me.

“Oh yesssss, please!” Damn that sounded totally dweeb like and needy. “And, I’ll have the mix and match, with lobster tail, the 8 oz. rib-eye, rare, and shrimp scampi with a loaded baked potato.”

“And I’d like the same, mix and match with lobster tail, the 7 oz. sirloin, well done, and stuffed crab. Also, a loaded potato.

The waiter takes our menu’s and leaves, while I take another bite of my salad. “This is good. Would you like another drink?” I ask him

“Sure. So, about your order, when you said rare, all I could wonder was if you wanted it still moo-ing on the fork?”

I almost toss my bite of salad in the bowl laughing. “Usually, I just take a fork in one hand, a knife in the other and hit the nearest pasture running, but I didn’t want to mess up the digs.” I flip the collar on my shirt and run my fingers down my sleeves, like I’m checking my imaginary cuff links.

“Oh my God.” Griff cracks up. “The visual that just ran through my head is hysterical.”

“Yeah?” I’m curious and certain the visual is way worse than planned.

“You in a pair of tightie whities, and boots, holding a knife and fork with a cowboy hat on chasing after a cow. I’ll never be able to work on the same job as you ever again.”

“I try not to work period for fear of killing myself somedays.” I take the butter knife and pretend to jab it into my temple on my forehead.

“I must admit, you do have some bad juju when it comes to hands on stuff. Has it always been that way?” He asks.

“I’m a work hazard. Besides shooting myself in the liver with a nail gun, and running my hand through a table saw, the rest has just been things like falling off an occasional ladder or accidentally jolting myself with a zap of electricity.” I confess.

“Ummm… OUCH. My whole body just cringed. It does explain why you quickly became the owner of your own company though. Get free from the line of fire.”

“Bingo. Exactly why. I know how to do the work like second nature, but me doing it personally is a hazard to my own health.” It seriously is.

“You’re such a great boss though, you know everything about anything.” He smiles again and takes another bite of his salad, then downs another oyster.

“So, you like it when I’m bossy huh?” I give him a flirty, shit eating grin.

“Love it, you’re so good at it. You do have the gift of gab, sense of saying or selling anything.” He shifts in his seat.

“You’re good at pleasing the boss also.” I bite into my lip. “Want to go for an almost midnight walk on the beach with me?”

  “Sounds perfect.”

After finishing dinner, I pat myself on the stomach. “I’m full, stuffed to be correct. Now about the bill, I would appreciate it if you let me pick up the tab. After all, you’ve shown me a good time all night and I want to lessen the burden for you by treating you.”

“I guess so, but I catch the next tab, got it?” He puts his hand on his hip standing over me.

“Loud and clear, so there will be a next time. Yay for me.” I mock his tone and stance.

  “Definitely so, if you will.”

  “Absolutely.”

I pay as Griffin walks to the door to wait for me. I run back and leave a significant tip on the table, waving to the waiter. He approaches. “Got a plan, follow along.”

Griffin walked outside to light a smoke I presume.

“Sir, wait, you forgot your to-go package.” I step out from behind him.

“Oh, I thought you were cutting out on me already. Usually my luck.”

“Not a chance in hell. I have no intentions of leaving you alone here, without me. Someone might decide to snatch you up and away from me. I told you, I’ve been trying to get your attention for a year now, I’m not letting you go.”

“Thanks for everything, fabulous meal.” We both smile at the waiter and leave.

“Shall we? I point in the direction of the rock jetties.

He nods and I take his hand.

  Chapter 3

Waves hit the out skirts of the levy and splash light sprinkles of water upon us. I wipe them from Griffin’s face.

“It’s beautiful here, the buoys floating that are constantly ringing, and the light house over there, so romantic. Don’t you think?” I point to the lit-up tower.

“I love it here. Would love to own some property down here.” He mumbles and points to some waterfront properties not far from here, up on piers.

“Aren’t most of those time shares though?” I look up to him.

“Yes, the owner buy ones are further down, but time shares would be amazing. You can buy out the contracts. At least with time shares, you just call ahead and get it for however long you want it.”

“So, you’ve checked into it then?” I ask.

“No, not really, just heard a few conversations about them is all.” He pauses. “I’m getting chilly.”

I wind in next to him, my arm around his waist and snug in close. He looks down at me. “Better?”

“Oh definitely so.” He wraps his arm around my shoulders. “I’ve been wanting to be in your arms for a really long time now.”

I turn into him, sliding my other arm around his waist and look up to him. “Would you mind kissing me.”

“That I’ve definitely dreamed about doing a million times over.” His eyes meet mine and he glosses his tongue across his lips.

  “Then do it.”

He bends lower to me, and presses his soft, warm lips to mine then doesn’t move. I take my tongue, delving it between them, then curl it around his tongue, slurping it as I swipe around him. I love the fact that he’s bigger than me, it turns me on.

“Oh fuck, you kiss so good.” I mumble and take his mouth in mine again.

“Why thank you sir. I aim to please.” I pull away.

“No, come back.” He gently tugs me back to him.

I fall into him. “I never left, was just listening to you is all. Give me your mouth again.”

He leans down to me and I open my mouth slightly for him. His tongue plunges in, running along the inside of my teeth and lips, then he circles my mouth. When he comes full circle, I suck his tongue into mine, twirling around him and giving it a gentle tug, pulling on it.

  “Shit-ttt.” He whispers.

I immediately reach my right hand across his chest, massaging him, then run it down to his cock, palming him in my hand.

“Oh fuck yeah. Feels so good.” Griffin reaches out for me to do the same, but I pull back. “Noooo! You tease.”

I give him a shit eating grin then move away from him. “I have an idea.”

  “Yeah, what’s that?”

Okay, I need to build the anticipation more. “Let’s go back inside Guido’s, just to the bar front on this side near the beach front at the ocean, have another drink then technically we can say we’re too drunk to drive and get a room. I know just the place.”

  “Where?” He asks.

“The Tredmont. Rooftop bar. Nice suites, and we could take the weekend if you have no plans and see where we go from here.”

“To Guido’s it is then. Spending a weekend with you sounds like a delightful adventure.” He slips his hand lower and pats my ass.

“Does it now? I’ve been told many things in my life, but delightful wasn’t one of them. I rather like that.” I take his hand in mine and begin walking. Normally I’m someone’s disaster, or have always managed to be eventually.

“What can I say, I have a way with words too.”

I start laughing and we walk back to the broiler bar.

  Chapter 4

We take both cars, his Navy blue Chevy Colorado truck and my charcoal gray 'vette stingray, a few blocks over to the Tredmont and I hope we can get in. It’s usually a reservation’s in advance deal, but I have a friend who works there, so hopefully he’ll be able to pull a few strings for me, if he’s even working tonight.

Griffin pulls up next to me in valet parking. “Give me one second, I have to see if anything is available since I didn’t make reservations.”

I enter through the main sliding doors, trimmed with gold, and approach the front desk, my friend is working, thank goodness.

“How’s it going Calen? Good to see you in this neck of the woods.”

“Doing well my friend, just down here having dinner and decided to give your fine establishment a try. How’re you liking your new house so far?” I ask him and shake his hand.

“I’m thrilled, love the details you put into it, you did a great job of building it and I couldn’t be happier.” Brandon’s amazing for the ego.

“Any news on the baby yet?” I ask. Him and his wife found out they were expecting just shortly after buying their first place.

“Nothing yet, but it should be anytime now, just waiting on that call. It’s like sitting on pins and needles, you know?” He shakes his head and holds his hands out in front of him, they’re shaking.

“I can only imagine. Nerves must be a wreck by now. Well, I realize this is spur of the moment, but do you have any last minute cancellations I could take for say tonight through Sunday? I kind of have something special planned and thought I’d give you a try before looking elsewhere. You are the finest in this part of town.”

“Luck must be on your side tonight, unlike that day when the dishwasher fell on your foot at the house. About two hours ago, I had a weekend cancellation, but it’s it expensive. It’s the King size deluxe, up top level. Top of the line. It comes with all the amenities-full access to the weight room, room service and the Wyndham breakfast, and cocktail bar.”

“Sounds perfect, I’ll take it. Can you send up a bottle of champagne?”

“It’s there and waiting but will add fresh ice to it if you’d like.”

“Brandon, you’re a life saver, and I appreciate it a lot. Just keep my card on file and spare no expense. Consider this trip all-inclusive.” I reach in my back pocket for my wallet and hand it to him.

“Will do. Here is your key and enjoy your stay.” Brandon smiles as he runs a copy of my ID and card before handing it back.

“I will, keep me posted on Becky and the baby situation. I’ll be back in North Spring by Monday. Jobs to do and people to see.” I tilt my head to the side.

“Oh, do you have any bags?” He asks trying to get the attention of the bell hop.

“Nope, spur of the moment change of plans.” I shrug.

I turn and walk back outside, waving Griffin into the hotel lobby. He steps out of his truck and hands his keys to the lot attendant.

“I’m not sure how you pulled that off, it’s damn near impossible to get in this place, but glad you did. I’ve always wanted to stay here.”

“Connections are amazing sometimes. Just a man I did some work for, actually back around the time you came to work. Might have been your first job with me. The new construction one in Spring.”

“Yeah, it was, I remember, ground up job, didn’t you break the bones on top of your foot or something there?”

I nod, embarrassed, then take his hand and we ride up the elevator, and then exit. “I know we didn’t bring clothes or anything, but we can go to the mall tomorrow. I got the room for the weekend if you’re interested.” I squeeze his hand. “Of course, with my luck, the hotel will catch on fire or something off the wall like that.”

“Stop that.” Griffin turns to face me. “Stop thinking of the worst and start anticipating the best scenario.”

“Hmmm…I love where that takes me. My dirty little mind races in a whole new direction now.”

“Good, glad to hear it because it’s exactly where I was aiming it.”

I slide the key through the scanner lock and we enter. As soon as the door closes he’s off and about checking out the accommodations like a kid on vacation. It’s cute.

“Calen, come check this out. Holy shit, this view out and over the pool straight for the coastline. It’s got twelve-foot high ceilings, all the custom crown moldings so detailed out, and hard wood floors. This place is bitchin’. Even has a separate dining and living area, custom desk with docking spot, and a built in safe. So swanky.”

p; “Nice isn’t it?” I laugh at his excitement. “Want some champagne?”

“Whoa, hell yes. This place is bigger than my entire apartment, I love it. Could get used to this kind of thing.” He’s almost childlike with his smile beaming and crystal blue eyes lighting up.

“Well, we’ve got a couple days, lets enjoy them and each other before I send you off and running.”

“I told you to stop it, didn’t I? I know very little about you since you keep it mostly clammed up inside, but the parts I know, it’s time for you to cut yourself some slack.”

I pour him a glass of champagne, and he downs half of it then wipes his nose. “It tickles.”

“Yeah, feels good though.” I can’t resist him anymore and stand a little bit on my toes to kiss him, circling his lips with my tongue.

“Fuck, you’re a good kisser, so tender and passionate. You make me feel wanted.” He rumbles.

“You make me want you in so many ways it’s scary trying to decide where to start sampling. I could trace each tattoo with my tongue though.” As I’m not prepared at all to fuck him I just reach for his crotch and palm my way across his hard cock. “Mmmm…so stiff.”

Griffin reaches forward and unbuttons his jeans, freeing himself for me and I wrap my hand around his thick dick. Damn he’s huge, just like his body type would suggest, and so warm and inviting. He thrust into my hand, needy and desperate, which I love.

“Feel good?” I pull back from his lips.

“Sooo good. Can I?” He reaches for my dick also, tracing the outside through the material of my jeans and I start to enlarge.

  “Help yourself.”

He readily clasps and grabs at the buttons of my jeans and I finally help him unfasten me. As he reaches in, one of his nails accidentally scrapes me, but doesn’t break skin. “Oh my God, I’m sorry, are you okay?”

“No, you might need to kiss it better for me.”
